We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic application engineer to join our rapidly growing global technical team. Utilizing state of the art simulation tools such as ANSYS and Rocky DEM, the ideal candidate will be responsible for technical sales development (pre-sales), post-sales and support. You will assume full responsibility for the delivery of solutions using state of the art predictive tools such as ANSYS Rocky, ANSYS Fluent, ANSYS Mechanical). This position will report directly to the VP of Engineering and will involve working closely with the sales teams and our channel partners to show the value of simulation technology in a practical and efficient manner. Domestic and international travel (10-20%) is also expected. 


Role and Responsibilities:


• Responsible for showing the value of simulation tools primarily with Rocky DEM in new technologies and applications.

• In collaboration with the sales team, discuss potential sales opportunities and perform technical analysis and qualification of customer projects.

• Investigating bug reports, testing all bug fixes and giving feedback to the development team for continuous improvement.

• Manage customer expectations to ensure customer satisfaction in the usage of Rocky DEM and ANSYS products. 

• Design and conduct ANSYS Rocky (and other) product presentations and demonstrations, which include standard and/or customized training, Q&A, and technical discussions with the customer.

• Propose consulting services to customers who need assistance to resolve challenging problems and build solutions of demanding complexity

• Attend trade shows, conferences and meetings to demonstrate the product and keep up to date with the latest developments in technology.



Essential Requirements:


• BS or MS in any field of Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Civil preferred).

• Experience using commercial CFD tools (preferred ANSYS Fluent).

• Solid theoretical background in fluid mechanics and heat transfer.

• Solid understanding of numerical methods.

• Ability to use CAD packages for geometry drawing and cleaning, mesh generation and post-processing.

• Excellent communication in English (verbal and written). Usage of video conferencing tools and experience on web presentations.

• Ability to work independently, with little supervision, and as part of a team.

• Strong problem solving and people skills. 



Desirable Requirements:


• Knowledge of DEM (Discrete Element Method) simulation.

• Knowledge of scientific programming languages (Python knowledge is a plus). 

• Knowledge of FEA (Finite Element Analysis) tools.

• Knowledge of turbulence and multiphase flow modeling.
